Havenbrook ("the app") is developed and operated by Lapis Stone LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information. By using Havenbrook, you agree to the practices described here.
The short version
We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data. Havenbrook has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no servers of ours for it to talk to. Your farm is saved on your device and stays there. The only thing the app ever contacts is the App Store, and only when you buy gems or restore a purchase.
Information the app stores
Havenbrook saves your progress so you can pick the game up where you left it. That save holds:
- Your coins, gems and Farm Level
- Your land, crops, animals and buildings
- Your bag, your order board and your Season progress
- Settings, and the App Store transaction identifiers for purchases already paid into your farm
All of it is written to your device's own storage, inside the app's private folder. Nothing is uploaded, backed up to us, or shared with anyone. Havenbrook does not use iCloud, so the save does not travel between your devices; a farm belongs to the device it was grown on.
The transaction identifiers deserve a word, because they are the only thing in the save that came from outside the game. When you buy a gem pack, the App Store gives the app an identifier for that transaction, and the app writes it down so the same purchase can never be granted to you twice. It identifies a purchase, not a person, and it never leaves the device.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect names, email addresses, contacts, location, or device identifiers.
- We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services.
- We do not use advertising or tracking technologies, and we do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not ask you to make an account or sign in.
- We do not send your farm, or anything else, to us or to any third party.
Purchases
Havenbrook sells optional gem packs. Gems buy speed; everything in the game is reachable without them. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store, and prices are set and shown by Apple in your own currency. We never receive or store your payment card details. Apple handles billing and may process transaction information under Apple's Privacy Policy. We may receive anonymous, aggregate sales information from Apple that does not identify you.
Your control over your data
- Deleting the app removes your save and everything in it from your device. Because nothing is stored anywhere else, that is the whole of it.
- Reinstalling starts a new farm. There is no copy of the old one for us to restore, and no way for us to look one up.
Data security
Your save is stored using the security protections provided by iOS. Because we do not collect it or transmit it to any system of ours, it is not exposed to us or to third parties.
Children's privacy
Havenbrook is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app collects no personal data at all, no such information is gathered from any user.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above and posting the revised policy at lapisstonegames.com/FarmEmpire-privacy.html. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
